The piece is called 'Building a car is no laughing matter' and tells of how it transformed the company from a small fledgling company, into what it is today, and the company's plans on expansion.

The Cake Bake Company Ltd would like to thank all those that attended our official opening of our new premises in Swanscombe on Friday the 26th of October. Especially The Mayor of Dartford - Councillor Sheila East whom performed the opening ceremony. Hopefully everyone enjoyed themselves as much as we did! Once again thank you, your support is much appreciated.
We are pleased do say Lloyds TSB are using The Cake Bake Company as an example in the corporate market. The bank has had printed an A4 colour information sheet which tells of the banks involvement in the success of The Cake Bake Company, along with background company information etc.

We recycle all of our cardboard and now we recycle the ends that we cut off our cakes. Pedigree pigs are being fattened on our cake ends. The BPA and the NFU helped us find our local farmers and gain permission from the DEFRA vet. There are extremely strict regulations as to what you can feed pigs on.
On Friday and Saturday 13th and 14th July 2007 two members of our production team represented The Cake Bake Company at The Kent Show, We gave away more than 7,000 pieces of cake and Radio Kent featured them in a section on promoting local produce as part of ASDA's initiative to reduce the carbon footprint on the produce available in their stores.

It's the most talked about TV commercial of the year... a team of master bakers are shown creating a life-size model of a Skoda Fabia made entirely of sponge cake.
In the advert it takes just 60 seconds for the bakers - all actors - to finish the job. But in real-life it took expert cake-maker Sharon Goodyear and a team of 30 helpers four days to produce the 40 separate sponges in a shape of the car. It took nearly 20 hours to bake in a huge industrial oven.
Sharon, who runs the Cake Bake Company near Dartford, Kent, Said: "When I first agreed to do it, I did think maybe I'd taken on a bit much, but it was fantastic fun."
Sadly, after the filming at Shepperton Studios in Middlesex, the car couldn't be eaten - it was a health risk after spending hours under hot lights. So it was chopped up and turned into compost on local allotments.
